I think August. It was at night time.
Tongass National Forest, Alaska
We’re very terrified to tell you this story but it needs to be told. No one should go to Tongass National Forest at the dead of night. Strangers warned me about Bigfoot but I ignored them! To apologise for not believing them, I will tell my tale.
Love of my life Kristin was trying to persuade me to go camping at night-time. You bet your ass I said yes. Know that I took my trusty shotgun with me (just in case) and a small torch. The camera was going to come too but I decided against that since we were camping and we had no need for it. Rules were made up a while ago between me and Kristin that in the event of getting lost, we would meet up at the car. And if one of us didn’t return within 4 hours of separation, we would call the cops.
So we set off and arrived 2 hours late since Kristin wanted to stop off at McDonalds.
“Do you know about Bigfoot?” my neighbour told me before I left. I thought about what he said whilst setting up the camp and preparing for a romantic night with Kristin. I then heard an ear-piercing scream followed by a colossal shadow of a massive figure just ran past the camp. A dark furred gorilla-like animal had managed to extinguish the fire. Full of fear for my wife’s safety, I took out my shotgun and tried to shoot but I missed. Commitment’s I told myself that once I knew it was clear from that thing, I ran up to my wife and calmed her down.
What we did then was run back to the car and drive back home as fast as possible (legally of course). I’m still shook about what happened that night, I know it was bigfoot and I should not have camped in the forest at this time of year (it was August 2019). Of course, I couldn’t take a photo of Bigfoot since I was too scared for my wife’s safety at the time.
You need to listen to what I say, do not do what I did unless you want to hunt that damned thing. Wouldn’t it be great if we could at least try and understand Bigfoots motive? Get this, once I returned to my house, my gun had been broken in half. This shocked me since I didn’t even notice. From what I can gather, this must have happened when I went to comfort Kristin.
Any other people had similar experiences? Other than that night, I never had a problem camping there and I need to know if it’s safe for us to continue.
