Northeast Pennsylvania 2016
I came across your channel a couple of days ago and absolutely love it. I have been listening to all your video’s before I go to sleep at night. I wanted to tell you about my encounter 3 years ago during the spring of 2016. I have told my husband about it but he just laughs at me, But I know what happened and will never deny what did happen that cool spring afternoon.
My name is Brad I was 25 at time of my encounter. I live in Northeast Pennsylvania, at the time I was living with my mother-in-law who has property with 64 acres of woods that lead to the top of a mountain. On the other side of the mountain is hundreds of acres of untamed wilderness. I have seen deer, bear, coyotes and fox, so I know what lives in these woods. I would say that I was quite adventurous, But since my encounter not anymore and definitely not by myself.
It was a cool afternoon the snow had just melted about 2 weeks prior and was warm enough for me and my dog to go on a nice walk up the old logging trail on my mother-in-laws property. My dogs name is DW and he is a 150lb Rottweiler, He is the best companion. He is so obedient and is not afraid of anything and would stay by my side anytime we would go for a walk. So we started up the trail we got about maybe 50 feet into our walk when I realized it was getting warmer and bear maybe emerging from hibernation. So I would grab baseball sized rocks and throw them on to the path to make a loud smacking noise to alert any bear in the area we were on our way up and wouldn’t startle any. We got to the pond on our left, we had stopped and I let DW get a drink of water before starting up again. We were about 150 yards in to our walk with a good portion left to go to reach the top of the mountain. We walked on about another 125 yards and got to a bend in the trail.
As we both approached the bend in the trail we were hit with a god awful sent it smelled like rotten eggs, mixed with skunk and death. I just played it off as a skunk so I grabbed another rock and threw it on the path and it made a loud smacking noise. Right after that Dw started growling a low deep guttural growl. I have never heard him growl like this in the 8 years he’s been my companion. He stepped into the woods and was growling looking right in front of where we had stopped. I could not see anything at all, that’s when it happened I heard something fly through the woods and land in between where Dw and I were standing and looked to see a golf ball sized rock had landed on the path. Now Dw started barking franticly going further into the woods. I never saw anything at all. I looked down the path I looked behind me and saw nothing that could have thrown this rock. Now the woods on either side of this path are thick with old oak and birch trees with a lot of undergrowth. But it was early spring there were no leaves on the trees and I couldn’t see anything.
I turned to head back down towards the house down the path. Meanwhile Dw was still in the woods barking and growling at something. Then I heard something else flying through the woods again and this time landed right in front of me. It was another rock this time baseball sized the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I was facing the trail going back down, Next thing I know out of the corner of my eye I see my 150lb Rottweiler running out of the woods crying. I am not sure what he saw but he blew right past me running down that trail crying the whole time. Let’s just say when I saw him running and crying I did not stick around to see what it was and ran so fast down the trail back to the house.
My dog is not afraid of anything he’ll run up to black bears that are 3 times the size of him so whatever he saw in those woods scared him and he ran. I knew of Bigfoot and I had to look up encounters and rock throwing is a typical behavior of Bigfoot. The summer before there were loggers that came and cleared the top of the mountain to see if a windmill could be put up there. Sometimes I wonder if the Bigfoot was warning us not to go up any further because the loggers had disturbed its home. But I am not sure only my dog saw what it was and he’s not saying anything.
I apologize and hope my encounter makes sense, I am not good at typing or story telling but this is the truth and happened 3 years ago. I do not go in those woods alone and I will never go at night!! You can use my name in this story if you would like.
