Nepal

​I have been watching your channel for about a year now and I love all the stories. I am from Nepal. many people tend to know about about yeti when you talk about Nepal or Nepali bigfoot. There is yet another mythical creatures in Nepal known as BANJHAKRI(BAN=forest, JHAKRI=shaman). They are said to be ape like creature with hair covering from head to toe except for the palms of the hands, face and the soles of their legs. The are said to resemble man more than a ape . the main difference between a ban jhakri and a bigfoot is the height. they are said to about 3 to 5 feet tall wit reddish golden brown hair so you could also call them SMALL YETI. According to legends, ban jhakri live in forests and caves and kidnap young candidates, typically between seven and twenty years of age, to initiate into shamanism. Only those youths who are chokho (pure) in body and heart are retained for teaching, ideally for thirty days, before being returned to the place from which they were initially abducted. Candidates with physical scars or impure hearts are released quickly, often violently "thrown" from the ban jhakri' s cave, or worse, captured by his big and ferocious wife, the ban jhakrini( -ni generally denotes female in Nepali languages), who desires to cannibalize the young initiate. Like the yeti, there is extensive oral mythology on the ban jhakri, but there is not the same level of public interest so no written text that i am aware of exists. they are said to invisible to the human eye . the are known to beat shepherds or travelers, resting in the jungle to avoid heat and in some instances even throw them downs the slopes. they are said to be visible for only a few seconds when the shepherds open their eyes after they are awoken by the beatings. they are said become visible and invisible through their own will. there are also stories that the creature sucked the milk of cows dry, so people often slept near their cows during the night so that they could chase these creatures away. although the people were not able to seen them, sucking noise could be heard, so the people would swing sticks in front of the nipples of the cow often hitting it and hear screaming noises form the creature. the creatures were often heard whistling and howling in the night. villagers would often hear it howling while working in the field from the hill above and there would be a response from another creature from from the opposite hill. they would find remains of crabs and the intestine of frogs in front of caves which local believe they would eat. they are said to be omnivores creatures according to locals ( there are lot of fruit trees and wild edible roots available in the hills of Nepal) . there might be some grammatical and spelling errors since i am a non English speaker so please look over it and fell free to make some changes if you like.
