March 20th and again March 28th 2021

On March 20th I decided to try the knocking on a hug tree. I hit the tree 3 times and waited a few minutes and did it again. I heard a woodpecker and then there was a long knock. I thought nothing of this so walked out my road. Then on March 28th I decided to knock again on a tree 3 times then a few minutes later 3 more times. Nothing was heard. I walked out my road for about 5 minutes and heard one loud knock around where I had knocked before. I thought about going back but got a little scared and kept on walking out. It is about a 20 minute walk back to the road. There was snow in the woods but I never seen any tracks. I had never tried knocking before on my lot and I have owned it for 26 years. I am not sure what could of made the knock but I decided to share and maybe someone has an idea. thanks
