1977 Oregon

I don't talk about this to much to anyone outside of the family but This happened the Summer of 1977 family vacation trip with my mother, father two younger brothers and myself I was seven years old at the time. We had been camping in a RV we started from Portland Oregon and went down to California spent a few days in the Redwood National Forest playing run in the woods what boys end up doing. After a few day we picked up camp and head off back to Oregon along the 101 HWY along the coast. It was a fun time see things we never seen before as we looked out of the windows of the RV We pulled into a camp site it was around noon at the time we got out got gear out and began to enjoy our selves playing on the beach taking pictures. My Dad decided that we might as well camp there for the night my brothers and I were good with that mom cooked dinner we all ate and sat by the fire my dad had made. It was getting dark now and Mom told us its time for bed my two brothers and I got ready to go to sleep in the RV mom and dad too it was dark we were laying in our sleeping bags and then we all heard it a sound not know what it was my brothers and I went silent and then again same sound it sounded close. Just as my youngest brother called for my mom more sounds but not just one it sounded like there were more like calling each other we got a bit scared and ask our Dad what was that? My dad was not the type of guy that got spooked easily and just said oh its whales and left it at that the sounds went all night long after a while we ended up falling asleep. Next morning we woke up and went on our way back to home camping in spots along the way. Now I never really thought about it at all just took what my dad told us as true but back in 2014 I was at on youtube just looking at videos and came across sounds of Sasquatch so I thought why not. I clicked the play button and listen the sound I heard set me back in my chair it was the same sound we heard in the RV when I was a young boy so I recorded the sound. The next day I went to see my mother asked her to listen to this sound I recorded but didn't tell her what it was just told her to tell me what this sound was. So I played her the recording right off the bat she said that's the sound we heard in the RV of the whales. I looked at her and said you really think so? She was like yes same sound then I told her it was a recording of a Sasquatch Howling not a whale her mouth dropped open and she looked at me and said there was more the one when we heard that she said like 4 or 5 making that sound. From what I remember the sound were close hundred yards or so. My mom brothers and I all agree that was the sound we heard on the Oregon coast back in the summer of 1977. this was my first encounter with this Animal but not my last but maybe I will tell you this another time because it feels a bit foolish when I have told close friends they seem not to believe what I told them. They are real and they are out there.
